Large POMDP belief state updates comparing sequential, parallelized and GPU implementations. Limited computation time given a need for timely responses from the Spoken Dialogue System to human utterances. POMDP's used in many areas... more details to follow.

Robot Lab Demonstrator Project

Jointly supervised with Prof. Nick Taylor

Use recently purchased robot lab equipment to develop an Robot Lab "Demonstrator". Could be something cool that can be shown off at open days or some piece of academic investigation using machine learning with robotic platforms. Exact details to be agreed between student and supervisors. Scope for student initiative.
